FAQ

General

1. Is your baby lounger safe?

We found that other loungers on the market use a combination of cotton & polyester to make their products which is not as breathable and sustainable as Tencel®. Tencel® is a superior fibre in every way and provides a much safer place to rest for your little one.

Certifications:
• OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100
• GRS - Global Recycle Standard
• GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard
• ISO9001

Before using our baby lounger, please read all of our safety guidelines available here.

2. What is Tencel®?

Tencel® is a botanic fibre found in nature. It is harvested from eucalyptus trees and is processed using a method that recovers and reuses the solvents employed, resulting in a minimal environmental footprint. Eucalyptus trees are sustainable, regenerate quickly, and are grown free of herbicides and pesticides. They are cut rather than uprooted, meaning that there is no need to continuously plant new trees. The fibre is very breathable making it the perfect choice for our baby lounger.

  • Tencel® is known for being even softer than silk and cooler than linen.

Tencel® fibres are gentle on a baby's delicate skin and can help to regulate their body temperature by quickly absorbing and releasing moisture. The fibre has the incredible ability to absorb up to 70% more moisture than cotton.

  • Tencel® is naturally hypoallergenic and is not bleached or dyed. It also does not generate any static charge, dust and other particles do not cling to the fibre giving it additional hypoallergenic qualities. Due to these properties, it is nearly impossible for bacteria to grow on the fibre.
  • Tencel® adheres to much stricter standards and uses very few chemicals compared to the production of organic cotton, rayon, bamboo and many other fibres.

3. What materials do you use to make your products?

We chose to use organic muslin cotton for our lounger covers to keep your little one safe from harmful chemicals. Muslin cotton is one of the softest and most breathable fabrics on the market. Most swaddle blankets available today are made from muslin cotton because it is hypoallergenic and naturally super soft. For our baby lounger, we use a combination of organic pearl cotton and Tencel™ which is also free from any harmful chemicals.

4. Do you ship overseas?

Yes, we sure do! We have customers located all over the world. Please get in touch with us here if you have any questions.

Baby Lounger

1. Can you use the baby lounger without a cover?

Yes, you sure can! Although having a cover will reduce the amount of washing that the lounger will need. It is much easier to wash the cover than the entire lounger! We recommend having at least two covers so that you can have one ready to go while the other is in the wash.

2. Why is the centre of the lounger unpadded?

The centre of the lounger is unpadded so that it can function as a sling, pulling the sides in to cradle your little one which helps them feel held.

3. My cover seems too big for the lounger. Is this normal?

The cover is meant to fit a bit bigger than the lounger so that as your baby grows, the cover isn't stretched too thin or pulls the sides of the lounger too tightly. If the cover is a little bunched, you can try tucking the ends under the lounger for a tighter fit.

Care Instructions

1. How do I wash the baby lounger?

The baby lounger is machine washable! The lounger can be washed on cold using a mild detergent on a delicate cycle (less than 30 degrees). It can also be hand-washed or spot-cleaned in lukewarm water. We recommend a detergent free of bleach and brighteners. To be completely safe, air dry your lounger flat in the shade. We do not recommend that the lounger is placed in a dryer.

2. How do I wash the baby lounger covers?

The lounger covers can also be washed on cold using a mild detergent on a delicate cycle (less than 40 degrees). We recommend a detergent free of bleach and brighteners. The covers can be hung on a clothesline to dry or by using a dryer on low heat.

3. My cover shrunk after I washed it. What can I do?

Simply get the cover damp and gently re-stretch the fabric out before air drying completely. You can also let it hang dry in both directions to help stretch the fabric even more.
